Products can sync over to your Shopify in a couple different ways. Find out which sync type is best for your business!

How to Sync Your Shopify Products with Ave Tech

If you're using Shopify and Ave Tech, you have the option to sync your products between the two platforms. In this article, we'll go over how to set up and manage your product syncing options.

Initial Onboarding with Ave Shops

When you first connect your Shopify account to Ave Tech, you'll have the opportunity to choose how you want your products to sync over. This can be done under the Full Service Product Syncing section.

Option 1: Full Manual - This option allows you to manually select items from our Marketplace in your Ave Tech account. Products will not sync automatically and you will have to manually sync them one-by-one or in groups by adding them to a sync list. You can find a guide on how to do this here.

Option 2: Automatic Sync - This option will automatically transfer ~600-800 seasonally appropriate items with deep stock. Then, items will sync automatically on a weekly basis, with preorders syncing on Wednesdays and regular releases syncing on Thursdays.

You can change your automatic weekly sync at any time in Ave Tech. If you initially choose Full Manual and decide you want automatic syncs, you can adjust this in your settings. Similarly, if you initially choose automatic syncs and decide you want to manually sync your products, you can turn off the automatic sync option. This setting can also be turned on if you only want one release automatically synced over another for example.

Note: This setting is future-facing and does not take effect immediately. If you turn it on and do not receive products right away, don't worry! The products will sync over during the next weekly sync - Wednesdays for preorders and Thursdays for regular releases.

If you need products for a current release, you can still access them through the Marketplace while you wait for your first or next automatic sync.

Enabling/Disabling Automatic Sync

To enable or disable the weekly automatic sync to your Shopify, follow these steps:

  1. Login to Ave Tech

  2. Click on your name in the top right

  3. Account Settings

  4. Shop Settings tab

  5. Edit

  6. Auto Sync Products

  7. Select Yes or No

  8. Update
