Step-by-step instructions on how to install Ave Tech.

We are excited to get you up-and-running on Ave Tech. We feel like it's a game-changer that will make running your boutique even simpler and more enjoyable, and we think you'll agree.

How it works:

  • Ave Tech will automatically add all current and future Ave Shops products to your Shopify.

  • It will keep inventory in sync, ensuring the quantities you have available on your site match the quantities we have available in the warehouse.

  • Most importantly, when you receive an order for Ave products on your website, Ave Tech will automatically create the order on our wholesale site!

  • When your order ships, we will mark any Ave items as fulfilled on your Shopify and add the tracking number for you.

If you've received your login info for Ave Tech, then you're ready to get started!

Step 1: Log in at app.theavenueshops.com with the username and password you received.

Step 2: Install our Shopify app: https://app.theavenueshops.com/shopify/verify
There will be a red banner on your dashboard with a link to connect your shop.

Step 3: Add your payment method. There will be a red banner on your dashboard that will link you to the correct place to add it.

Note: This payment method will only be used to charge Wholesale orders created by Ave Tech. It will not be used for your monthly fee, or any other purpose.

Step 4: Add your default shipping label address. There will be a red banner on your dashboard that will link you to the correct place to add it.

While you are there, add your custom shipping label information so your boutique name, return address, and a custom message appear on your postage and packing slips! Here is more information on that: Custom Shipping Labels and Packing Slips

Pro Tip: You'll be able to choose your default shipping address when you want combined orders to be sent to you instead of a customer, for local pickup orders, for example.

Step 5: Select your sync type for your products.

When you first connect your Shopify account to Ave Tech, you'll have the opportunity to choose how you want your products to sync over. This can be done under the Full Service Product Syncing section.

Option 1: Full Manual - This option allows you to manually select items from our Marketplace in your Ave Tech account. Products will not sync automatically and you will have to manually sync them one-by-one or in groups by adding them to a sync list. You can find a guide on how to do this here.

Option 2: Automatic Sync - This option will automatically transfer ~600-800 seasonally appropriate items with deep stock. Then, items will sync automatically on a weekly basis, with preorders syncing on Wednesdays and regular releases syncing on Thursdays.

Note: The Full Sync process can sometimes take quite a while, sometimes up to 24 hours. You can see progress by going to the Ave Tech dashboard and refreshing every few minutes to see the number of products increase under the published products tile. Once the number stops increasing you should be fully linked. Products will sync over with inventory at 0 initially, but Ave Tech will run a big inventory sync once all the products are created in your Shopify.

Step 6: Adjust your settings how you'd like them! Go to your account settings by clicking on your name in the top right > Account Settings > Shop Settings Tab.
