One of the benefits of choosing semi-auto mode is that you have time to make changes to orders before you process them manually, or they're processed automatically after your set order processing delay, like combining two or more orders to ship together and save on shipping.

Step 1: Go to the Orders page by clicking Orders on the left nav.

Step 2: Check the box next to all the orders you would like to combine and ship together, then click the 'Combine' button in the top right.

Tip: The most common use cases are to combine orders for the same customer, or to combine orders you'd like to all be sent to you, for local pickups, for example. You can combine as many orders as you'd like.

Step 3: Choose the address you'd like the combined order to ship to by clicking the 'Select Shipping Address' dropdown.

Note: The only addresses available to choose from will be the shipping addresses for the orders being combined, and the default shipping address you have on file. If you want the order to go to different address, you can either edit the address of one of the orders in your Shopify back office, or update your default shipping address.

Step 4: After confirming all the details are correct, click the 'Submit Payment' button.

Tip: By default, Ave Tech will automatically mark all the orders included in the combined order as fulfilled in your Shopify when it is shipped, as well as add the tracking number. Based on your Shopify settings, a shipping confirmation email, including the tracking number, should automatically be sent to your customer(s).

In some cases you might not want the customer to be notified when the order is shipped, local pickups, for example, where marking the order as fulfilled will notify your customer their order is ready to be picked up.

In these cases, uncheck the 'Send fulfillment updates to shop' checkbox before clicking 'Submit Payment'. You can then manually mark the order as fulfilled when it arrives, which is the right time to let your customer know they can pick up their order.

Combining orders isn't the only thing you can do in semi-auto mode. Here are some of the other changes you can make:
